OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY
- The Act
- The act is available online (http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/statutes/english/elaws_statutes_90o01_e.htm ) for free. It is also available from ServiceOntario Publications (small green book) for a cost of $8, plus GST.
- Health and Safety Policy Statement
- The Guide to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (http://www.labour.gov.on.ca/english/hs/pubs/ohsa/index.php ) has detailed information about how to prepare a health and safety (http://www.labour.gov.on.ca/english/hs/pubs/ohsa/ohsag_appx_a.php ) policy.
- Harassment Policy Statement

- Names
- Where the employer is required to establish a Health and Safety Representative
- 5 to 19 regularly employed in mushroom, greenhouse, dairy, hog, cattle and poultry
- 5 or more regularly employed in all other farm commodities
- In workplaces where the employer is required to establish a Joint Health and Safety Committee, the employer must also post the names and work locations of the committee members in a conspicuous place. Farming Operations requires Joint Health and Safety Committees when there are 20 or more regularly employed workers in mushroom, greenhouse, dairy, hog, cattle, and poultry.

- It is available online (http://www.labour.gov.on.ca/english/es/pdf/poster.pdf ) for free and can be printed on legal-size paper for posting in the workplace. ServiceOntario Publications will also provide copies of the poster, charging only for shipping and handling.
Workplace Safety and Insurance Board
- “In Case of Injury 1,2,3,4” poster
- This poster is provided free of charge to employers directly by the WSIB. Employers can get the poster online or by calling the WSIB at 416-344-1016 or 1-800-663-6639. A 7 X9 inch is available at http://www.wsib.on.ca/files/Content/PosterIn%20Case%20of%20Injury%20Poster_big/7x9posterENG.jpg . You can also order 11" x 17" or 18" x 24" posters. Ask for the poster in the size of your choice.
